Identity

Many elements of the visual identity such as the logo and the font used already existed. To choose the colors, I considered the visual identity of The Colleur (personal brand of Patrick, the owner of the gallery). Therefore, I used a matte black with touches of fluorescent green.

To animate the site, I chose to animate a sidebar with the acronym Le Block and to add some micro-interactions, especially on the elements of the navigation bar.

Wireframing & conception

The website is an e-commerce and event planning platform. Since the pieces of artwork sold are all numbered, the client wanted buyers to be able to choose their print number. This had to be taken into account when creating the e-commerce part on Webflow. It was quite a challenge as native Webflow e-commerce does not allow this specific feature. My solution was to include, in the structure of an article, an option-set in which we could add each artwork one by one so that each article could be linked to a number. The events planning feature is managed through the Webflow CMS.

About the project

Located in the heart of a framing workshop in Montreuil, in the suburbs of Paris, Le Block is an atypical art gallery that host the artists of tomorrow, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work at events organized throughout the year. Patrick, the owner of the gallery, needed a website on which he could communicate about the upcoming events and also sell the artwork of the artists.
